So as a Amateur Audio Engineer I love hearing isolated tracks and finding the layers in songs. So my question is has anyone noticed a Choir buried deep in the mix on This I Love. It starts and ends during Robins solo I just listened twice, and I honestly don't know what I'm hearing in the layers sometimes. I will listen in the car tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. It wouldn't surprise me if it was in there. My hearing sucks too so I may not be the best person to listen anyway. I'd seek the expert on all things TIL - littleemoannieJust booked places in London and Paris for this summer! Just Munich to go now. This is really happening....I'd follow you anywhere, Axl!

Here's a throwback question for you guys: Sometime in mid to late 1992 (maybe during the Metallica stadium run) Guns had a gigantic inflatable robot from the Robert Williams Appetite For Destruction painting on the stage. Do you know if there was one or two of them? Was it only blown up during WTTJ? And finally, where was it located? I have seen it for years now in various YouTube videos, but I cannot figure out any details!

It's tough to find. There are some quick shots of it in the WTTJ Live Era video and here is a shot I just found in google images. Thing is, from what I have seen it looks as if it was either set up differently at each gig or there were more than one robot at each gig. Here is the pic I just found: goo.gl/images/SiS4ZzLet me know if you guys have seen this or have any more info.

Blast from the past there. They had this at Wembley in 1992 that was in June. There were two inflatable robots that were either side of the stage, I cannot remember what song they were for though. They were pretty impressive and the crowd had no idea what was going on when they started to inflate. I have a vague recollection that they were inflated for two songs. Have not seen any footage anywhere before or since.

I only saw one inflatable monster at any given time- but I was enhancing my life with chemicals in the 90's đđđđ I saw fo' sho' iin pasadena rose bowl and the memorial coliseum when GNR was touring with metallica- most people miss that it has a penis for a tongue. You can see it in this Paris video from 92'

Just left the Bon Jovi concert. And all I can say is Axl Rose is the best frontman ever. JBJ stood at the mic 95% of the time at least. Show ended before eleven. No LALD screams. No Axl dances. No boot stomps. Setlist fucking sucked - and I know all the old school Bon Jovi songs by heart and was more than a casual fan. His voice is the same the entire time. Boring. Didn't play a goddamn thing from the first two albums and instead played mostly new stuff until the encore almost. No Never Say Goodbye. No Runaway. No In And Out Of Love. Wouldn't go a second time. Even for free.
We have it so fucking good.

Bon Jovi have consistently released new material, each record weaker, poppier than the one before. The first time I saw these dudes in concert was pretty awesome. I was also heavily under influences. But they sang a ton of their hits. The second time though they skipped some good numbers ... did lame covers and played to a a PG-style moms and little kids crowd (uh ... no offense by that last statement). I don't know. After that second time, though the big Bon Jovi hits are great to hear, I just said "never again."

After that second time, though the big Bon Jovi hits are great to hear, I just said "never again." I was thinking the same thing to myself last night. GNR is doing precisely what they must do to cater to their audience, and they are masters at it. They are playing all of the hits. With the exception of some upset over the Don't Cry/Patience alternating, really there isn't a big GNR hit that they aren't going to hear on the staple setlist. And, it was abundantly clear to me why last night. JBJ opened with two of his crap new songs. Needless, to say, the audience was underwhelmed. This is why the GNR setlist is genius in the setup. Playing two Appetite hits but saving the ginormous heavy hitters and spacing them throughout the set, also thoughtfully spacing the Chinese Democracy material so that the hardcore fans get enough but the casual fans aren't put off by it (not to mention Axl always makes the Chi Dem material amazing). I was pretty pissed last night leaving the concert because there were a shit ton of songs I would have liked to have heard that weren't played, and I think the sentiment of most was that they were disappointed in the choice of material. The crowd was sitting for half the night. And while I put on my concert persona and danced and screamed anyway (much to the dismay of the woman next to me who started putting her fingers in her ears when I screamed), the energy level wasn't even a tenth of what you feel at a Guns show. It really reminded and underscored for me what a fucking fantastic frontman Axl is. Unbelievable the difference. Night and day. JBJ fucking stood at his mic the whole time, none of his songs are challenging, and even Livin' on a Prayer was just his regular voice with no high notes or held notes. Speaking of which - he had the audience sing the entire first verse of it and then didn't go back and sing it himself! He just moved on to the second verse! Axl would NEVER fucking do that!!!!! If I wanted to hear myself sing the songs I wouldn't have paid for a ticket and would have just sat in my car singing them! Fortunately we still had fun.

That's a shame about the stage presence and set list of JBJ @prettytiedup. Honestly, I'm surprised. He's got a lengthy choice of hits, critically acclaimed songs and fan favorites to choose from. Bummer. Totally agree that GNR has always had fantastic set lists throughout the years. It's always a perfectly paced mix of classics, newer material and always a few deep cuts to make it perfect from start to finish

If I wanted to hear myself sing the songs I wouldn't have paid for a ticket and would have just sat in my car singing them! Fortunately we still had fun. I would go to see a Bon Jovi solo acoustic set. I think a laid back set where he played several of his hits would be pretty cool. But yeah, no interest in paying for and watching the arena show. I do like when the crowd sings WITH the performer. But not FOR the performer. Vince Neil tried that little trick far too often, in an effort to preserve his lousy voice, it seemed. "Never Say Goodbye" is one of my favorite Bon Jovi tunes. Ugh, I would have been mad had they not played it ... but how do you skip "Runaway"? I get it, I suppose. They want to push new material. But i bet that set wasn't more than 75-90 minutes, right? Play longer!
